The body was build by Boon and Company of Christchurch on an Edison Walker electric truck chassis.
The Society has two Edison Walker Battery electric truck chassis of about 1918 vintage, and it is planned that a replica Christchurch Walker Battery Bus "Beetle" bus body can be built on it.
