Originally built as a horse tram (builder unknown) and purchased by the Mornington Municipal Tramway in 1910, and shortened to the current length.

It always ran as a trailer on the Mornington Cable Car line with one of the Mornington Grip Cars - see 103.

It was renumbered 110 when taken over by the Dunedin City Corporation Tramways (DCCT) in 1920s.
